Volunteer Tickets

For several years Rainbow Alliance of Westchester has been able to make available through donations “Angel Tickets”. These tickets were given to anyone who wanted to attend our functions and may not have been able to due to financial constraints. In keeping with our tradition we’d like to implement a new program that will help us reach out even further without inflicting on the recipient the anguish of inquiring about eligibility for receiving these tickets.

The “Volunteer tickets” program is now accepting monetary donations of any size to be used specifically towards admission costs for individuals who’d like to volunteer their time to Rainbow in lieu of the cost of admission (s). Credit from volunteer time may be used toward any Rainbow Alliance event (s) including our much loved New Year’s Eve and Pride celebrations. Anyone who’d like to participate in the “volunteer tickets” program for any reason may do so. No questions asked. No pleading your case. Rainbow will accept a few participants bi annually who may take advantage of this program. All that is asked of the participant is that they help out at 5 Rainbow sponsored events throughout the course of the year. Volunteering may consist of anything from door coverage to helping set up or clean up and must be agreed upon in advance by the volunteer and event coordinators or committee chairs.

Since inception, Rainbow Alliance of Westchester has prided itself in keeping costs to a minimum to allow many in our community a chance to come together and explore a safe place to celebrate, communicate and just be free.  We know we can do more.

With your help and support we know we can give so many more a chance to join us no matter their status or current life predicament. Further it’s not a hand out but a way to join together and help us all at the same time.

Upon implementation of this program, we hope that not only will we be providing more resources to our entire community, but a much needed boost to all aspects of Rainbow’s volunteer pool which, of course, is what keeps us growing.
